Course Description:
The Commercial Pilot Program is designed to prepare you for a career in aviation by advancing your flight skills, knowledge, and professionalism. Through structured ground and flight training, you’ll learn to fly with greater precision, handle complex aircraft systems, and operate to commercial standards. This course meets all FAA requirements. Upon completion, you’ll be certified to fly for compensation or hire—opening doors to jobs in charter flying, aerial tours, corporate aviation, and more.
Eligibility:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Hold at least a Second-Class FAA medical certificate.
- Hold a Private Pilot Certificate.
Training Requirements:
- Pass the FAA Commercial Pilot Knowledge (written) Exam.
- Accumulate at least 250 total flight hours, including:
- 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
- 50 hours of cross-country time
- 10 hours of instrument training
- 10 hours in a complex or technically advanced aircraft
- 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
- Complete specific day and night VFR and IFR flight training, maneuvers, and solo operations.
- Pass the Commercial Pilot Practical Test (Checkride) with an FAA examiner, including an oral exam and flight test.
